Use distributed Logging for Mircoservices

In this blog post I want to point out that I just created a  9 min YouTube video related to the great Hands-on workshop: Reactive Endpoints with Quarkus on OpenShift. In this video you can watch and follow the steps of the exercise 5  “Use distributed Logging”.

Let me give you a short preview of the exercise 7 “Use distributed Logging”. In that exercise we will create a “IBM Log Analysis with LogDNA”  service instance to observe an Microservice on the RedHat OpenShift cluster in IBM Cloud.

The gif below contains a simplified overview of the steps of the exercise:

  1. Create the  IBM Log Analysis with LogDNA service instance
  2. Invoke a Microservice of the reactive Cloud Native Starter example using a CURL command
  3. Filter on a call

reactive ibmcloud quarkus logdna

I hope this was useful for you and let’s see what’s next?

Greetings,

Thomas

PS:  You can try out Cloud Foundry Apps or Kubernetes on IBM Cloud. By the way, you can use the IBM Cloud for free, if you simply create an IBM Lite account. Here you only need an e-mail address.
